during the listing of our house. Even though we did not end up selling our
home due to the declining market, we could not have asked more in an agent.
The first thing that I found very impressive was your dedication even before
we listed with you. We had originally contact you in the Spring of 2007 to
get an idea of what we could list our home at. You provided abundant
information to back up your opinion of what our home would sell at. At the
time, the market was not supporting the purchase price we were hoping for. We

really felt that you respected our position. We did not have to sell and
wanted to be able to walk away with a certain amount. You understood that,
and would give us your professional opinion on our price without ever being
pushy about it. But as much as we struggled with taking our house off the
market, conversations with you made it easier to make. I can’t say enough

 This is a letter of recommendation relative to my experience with Courtney Nelson. In July 2010 my sister passed away from a long time illness. I am her executor. She left directions that she wanted to list her home with Courtney Nelson. I discussed the process with Courtney and from the start I knew my sister made the right choice.

Courtney explained the options relating to putting my sisters home on the market. Our situation was not ordinary. I live in Illinois and selling a home in Colorado represented potential problems. These problems did not materialize due to Courtney’s diligent help.

I came to Colorado in September to supervise the estate sale. In between my obligations I met with Courtney to finalize her appointment and initiate the listing. The estate sale was held and I returned home to Illinois- leaving the situation in Courtney’s care.  She advised me to leave the house empty because, in her opinion, it would sell best that way.  She arranged the interior painting, final clean up and all of the details required to ready the house.

The house was put up for sale and sold in about three weeks for 95% of our asking price.

I was not familiar with the closing requirements in Colorado. Courtney explained everything to me. Documents were sent by email and signatures were easily given. Courtney handled the home inspection and evaluated the needed repairs. We reached an amicable agreement with the buyers and the closing went smoothly.

I am most pleased with Courtney’s work. She is pleasant, competent, helpful and professional in every way. I recommend her highly.
